Dementia Services

Setting the standard in dementia care

We at MindCare know that for approximately 750,000 people in the UK having dementia has a significant impact on both them and their families. MindCare is there to provide support when this happens and has an excellent reputation for delivering high quality person-centred care that meets the needs of the individual and of their family. MindCare supports people with all forms of dementia, including Alzheimer’s Disease, Vascular Dementia and Lewy Body Dementia.

  • High Quality Services

Don’t just take our word for it: MindCare’s domiciliary care service was rated ‘excellent’ by the Care Quality Commission in December 2009 and carer feedback consistently shows over 97% are satisfied with the services.

  • Experience

MindCare is part of well respected local charity Bromley Mind and has been providing dementia care in Bromley since 1986. Our staff are experienced too, with the overwhelming majority having obtained NVQ qualifications in Health and Social Care.

  • A person-centred approach

We treat everyone we support as an individual, and take the time to find out about their background, interests and preferences so we can tailor our support to meet their needs.

  • Safe, stimulating environments

MindCare has an excellent reputation for providing relaxed yet stimulating environments, and for managing challenging behaviour effectively. Families have peace of mind knowing their relative is safe and benefiting from participating in a range of activities and social interaction.

  • Support for family carers

Using MindCare’s services gives family carers the chance to have a break from their demanding responsibilities to rest, explore their own interests or go out to work. Our staff are always on hand to provide informal support to carers whilst the dementia café and our carers training project provide sources of further information and support.
